Mamaleek, مماليك, plural of mamluk, مملوك, is an Arabic designation for slaves. The term is most commonly used to refer to Non-Muslim slave soldiers and Muslim rulers of slave origin most famously the Mamluk dynasty of late medieval period Egypt.
